Driving with FullFare in Toronto

What the beta experience actually looks like — the onboarding, the app, the earnings, and what we're still building.

5 min read

FullFare's Toronto beta is live. Here's what drivers can expect when they sign up — and an honest account of where we are in the build.

Getting started

Signing up takes about 15 minutes if you have your documents ready. We require a current driver's licence, proof of insurance, and a background check through our verification partner. Most checks come back within 24 hours. Once you're approved, you can start accepting rides.

The driver app

The driver app is clean and focused. You see incoming trip requests with the pickup location and estimated fare upfront — before you accept. You can see how much you'll earn before you commit to the ride. If it doesn't work for you right now, you can decline without penalty.

How earnings work

You set your own hours. There are no minimums, no penalties for going offline, and no performance scores that affect your ability to see rides. When a trip ends, your earnings land in your FullFare wallet immediately. You can withdraw to your bank account at any time — there's no minimum payout threshold.

The co-op stake

Active drivers in the Toronto beta earn governance weight over time. This isn't a points program — it's a real ownership mechanism. As the platform grows and begins distributing surplus, drivers who participated in the beta will have a meaningful share. We'll be transparent about exactly how this works as we finalize the structure.

What we're still building

We're honest about being in beta. In-app navigation is still basic. Scheduling features aren't live yet. The rider base is small but growing. We're asking Toronto drivers to help us build something worth having — and we're committing to treating that contribution as exactly what it is: foundational.

If you're a Toronto driver and you're interested, join the waitlist. We're onboarding in small batches so we can give each driver real support during sign-up.
